1. collection of data
HTTP protocol data
In principle, you can visit our website without telling us who you are. The web server saves access data in a log file each time the website is accessed and each time a file is retrieved. This data includes the domain accessed, the date and time of access, the request (HTTP request), the bytes transferred, a description of the browser used by the user, the IP address and the HTTP status code. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. It is not possible for us to access this data directly. The data can only be accessed by the web server provider for security purposes and is automatically deleted after three days.
Cookies
This website also uses cookies. They are used to make the website more user-friendly and effective. Cookies are small text files that your Internet browser stores on your computer. Cookies are used to recognise several related requests from a user and assign them to a session or to recognise repeated use by the same user.
Our cookies only store the so-called session ID, a unique combination of characters that enables us to recognise related requests. These are so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
You can prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your Internet browser and also delete existing cookies. You decide yourself whether to store cookies. Without cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.
Content management system (CMS)
The website only records the number of page views. This is done anonymously and exclusively for statistical purposes.
Data collection by partner portal
Personal data is only collected if and insofar as you provide it yourself. The personal data you provide is collected when you submit an enquiry or make a booking to use our services. Our website uses technologies from our partner company Booking to process your enquiries/bookings efficiently.
By using the booking form, you consent to the collection, processing and use of the data you enter by our partner company. Our partner company assures you that your data will only be processed and used with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time.
Information on data protection at Booking.com can be found in Booking's privacy policy(https://www.booking.com/content/privacy.de.html).
2. integration of Google Maps
We also use Google Maps on our website. This allows us to show you interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function conveniently. Google Maps is an online map service of the US company Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). The services are provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), a company incorporated and operated under Irish law (registration number: 368047) with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
However, this is only done if you have given us your consent to do so, i.e. on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
With regard to this consent, we expressly point out that US law cannot in principle adequately guarantee the protection of personal data from the EU (see ECJ, C-3111/18). As the so-called standard contractual clauses neither bind government agencies nor restrict their access, additional measures would have to be implemented in order to create an adequate level of protection. Google states that it has taken current technical and organisational measures in this regard. However, you must be aware that your data may no longer be protected after transmission.
When you visit the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding page of our website and at least your IP address. This may also result in the transmission of data to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before accessing the map function. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or customising its website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right.
We have no influence on the data collection and processing procedures, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes of the processing or the storage periods. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing can be found in the provider's privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can completely deactivate the service by reloading the page or deactivating JavaScript in your Internet browser.
3 Purpose and use of personal data
Hotels may automatically collect and store personal data of their guests, insofar as this is necessary within the framework of the accommodation contract. This typically includes billing data for meals, telephone calls and/or other hotel-specific services. Due to registration regulations, we are obliged to ask our guests and their family members for information on their place of residence, date of birth and nationality.
If personal data is collected, we use it exclusively to ensure the functionality and use of the website, to answer enquiries and to provide our services. This is done exclusively for the purpose of hotel and restaurant operations and all associated business.
Personal data is collected, processed and used for the following groups of people in particular:
- Guest data (in particular address data, reservation data, billing data)
- Customer data (in particular address data, contract data, billing and service data)
- Interested party data (in particular accommodation interest, room rental interest, address data)
- Employee data, applicant data, data from pension providers (certain personnel and salary data)
- Suppliers, business partners, external service providers (in particular address, billing and performance data)
4. protection of personal data
Hotel Rennschuh uses technical and organisational security measures in accordance with Section 9 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) to protect your data managed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continuously reviewed and improved in line with technological developments. The Hotel Rennschuh stores data-relevant information exclusively on secure systems in Germany. Access to it is only possible for a few authorised persons and persons who are obliged to provide special data protection and who are involved in the technical, administrative or editorial management of data.
5. standard periods for the deletion of data
The legislator has issued a wide range of retention obligations and periods. Once these periods have expired, the corresponding data is deleted if it is no longer required for the fulfilment of the contract (guest, rental and service contracts). For example, commercial law data from a completed financial year is deleted after a further ten years in accordance with statutory regulations, unless longer retention periods are prescribed or required for legitimate reasons. Shorter deletion periods are used in human resources. This applies in particular to rejected applications.
Application forms are stored for the minimum period required by law in accordance with the applicable registration law and then destroyed under special precautions in compliance with data protection regulations.
6. rights to information, correction, deletion and blocking
You have the right to obtain information free of charge at any time about the personal data stored about you, its origin and recipients and the purpose of storage. You can object to the collection and use of your data at any time. In addition, you have the right to have incorrect personal data corrected and, insofar as there is no legal obligation to retain it, to have it deleted. In this case, the data will be blocked instead of deleted. Please contact us at the address given above or in the legal notice.
